Huge congratulations to PhD student Sam Truman, who has been accepted into the highly competitive Graduate Internship Program at the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles! Sam will be working as the curatorial intern in the Manuscripts Department for the 2022-2023 academic year. The holdings of the Department of Manuscripts total over two hundred medieval books and individual leaves that span the ninth to sixteenth centuries. Featuring exceptional European illuminations—including Ottonian, Romanesque, and Gothic examples—the collection also contains a small but important group of Byzantine, Armenian, and Ethiopian objects.
