The Department is delighted to celebrate the accomplishments of Prof. Erin Benay, Director of Undergraduate Studies and Distinguished Scholar in the Public Humanities–her work was profiled in a full feature in the Spring issue of THINK Magazine, CWRU’s flagship publication. Pressing Matters, a program for visual literacy and self-advocacy founded by Prof. Benay with Zygote Press, welcomed over 575 visitors to their “Artists in the Atrium” event at the Cleveland Museum of Art on Saturday! The teen participants were joined by the CMA’s Education Curator, Sabine Kretzschmar, who helped demonstrate the relationships between the the students’ prints and the Karamu Artists, now featured in the exhibition Karamu Artists Inc.: Printmaking, Race, and Community, co-curated by Prof. Benay and on view through mid-August. https://case.edu/think/spring2025/art-history-in-action.html
