GAMS is delighted to announce its schedule of exciting February events!
First, we will meet on Friday, Feb. 9 at 1:30 PM in Ingalls Library (Floor 2R of the Cleveland Museum of Art) to look at some amazing facsimiles of medieval manuscripts, including examples of Haggadahs, bestiaries, books of hours, Islamic manuscripts, Byzantine Gospel manuscripts, and much more! We will be joined by Prof. Elina Gertsman who will teach us all about the fascinating Book Altar of Philip the Good!
Next, on Saturday, Feb. 24 at 6:30 PM, we will host a fabulous and delicious medieval-themed potluck feast! Please bring your favorite medieval-inspired dish or refreshment and enjoy everyone’s scrumptious creations! Sign up here!
Finally, we would like to promote Trobár‘s musical performance: “I Sing a New Song: The Epic Journey of a Traveling Musician in the Middle Ages.” It will take place at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Cleveland Heights on Thursday, Feb. 29 at 7:00 PM.
