Simona Di Nepi, Charles and Lynn Schusterman Curator of Judaica at Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, Visits CWRU and the CMA as the First Short-Term Mellon Visiting Fellow

From May 1 to May 4, Simona Di Nepi, Charles and Lynn Schusterman Curator of Judaica at Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, visited Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) and the Cleveland Museum of Art (CMA) as the first Short-Term Mellon Visiting Fellow. Dr. Di Nepi participated in an archival workshop at the Western Reserve Historical Society; co-conducted an art study session and led gallery walkthroughs at the CMA; co-led a visit to the Temple Tifereth Collection at the Maltz Museum; delivered a public lecture, “From Accidental to Intentional Collecting: The Judaica Journey of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston,” at the Tinkham Veale University Center; and joined many festive meals with several CWRU professors and students as well as CMA staff and supporters. Dr. Di Nepi will be an integral part of the initiative to collect Judaica at the CMA in years to come.
