Enter a Gothic Chapel During IC Fellows Showcase

Please join Professor Elina Gertsman at the Case Western Reserve University’s Interactive Commons Fellows Showcase on Tuesday, May 2nd, 2023. This open house-style event will include HoloLens demonstrations and is scheduled from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Tinkham Veale Ballrooms B & C. Attendees will have the opportunity to get a sneak peak at the newest fleet of mixed reality applications developed by the IC and the second IC Fellows Cohort, including walking through a blood vessel, holding medieval objects, responding to economic market forces in real-time, assembling a semiconductor, and much more. Experience a fantastic Gothic chapel, bathed in light that filters through stained glass windows, and filled with interactive objects from the Cleveland Museum of Art’s celebrated medieval art collection. We are grateful to the incomparable team at the CMA as well as to Reed O’Mara who helped brainstorm the original app concept and to Rebekkah Hart who helped research the space. This app is just the beginning of an ambitious project launched with the support of the CMA, the IC, and Sears [think]box.
