This week, PhD students Reed and Sam participated in the Newberry Library’s Center for Renaissance Studies seminar “Uncovering Medieval Manuscripts in Early Modern Books.” The two were able to handle and examine fragments, leaves, codices, and bindings from the 800s through the 1600s held in the Newberry’s collection.
