On April 13th, Herbert Kessler, Professor Emeritus of Art History at Johns Hopkins University, will deliver a lecture, “‘Decorated with Life’: Ornament’s Meaning During the Middle Ages and Beyond.” Professor Kessler is a prolific author and editor, whose work on medieval image theory has been a game-changer for the field.
