The Joint Program of the Case Western Reserve University Department of Art History and Art and the
Cleveland Museum of Art is soliciting applications for a specially-funded Mellon graduate seminar
course for the 2022-23 academic year. The course should be a cross-disciplinary, object-based
seminar that prioritizes the CMA collection as primary course material. The call is open to all CWRU
faculty, including adjunct faculty from the CMA. The goal of the Mellon-funded course is to encourage
students to understand the importance of art beyond the scope traditionally considered in art history.
Applications submitted during the spring semester, 2022, should be for a course scheduled to be
taught during the spring 2023, or fall 2023 semester. The due date for applications: April 1, 2022.
