Byzantine Studies Conference Program is Released

The Byzantine Studies Conference preliminary program is released and available for viewing here.

CWRU and The Cleveland Museum of Art will host the 47th Annual Conference of the Byzantine Association of North America. The conference will take place on December 9-12, 2021.

The conference will be held in honor of Alice-Mary Talbot, Walter Kaegi, and David Wright, organizers of the first Byzantine Studies Conference in Cleveland in 1975.

The Byzantine Studies Conference is a very important annual event hosted in North America to foster knowledge about Byzantine Studies and associated fields. The most active scholars and graduate students attend and present their work at this prestigious event.

Scholarly talks on Byzantine Studies and associated fields will be presented between December 10-12. Parallel sessions typically run at the same time.
