Benjamin Levy, a second-year doctoral student, was invited to contribute an essay to artist Amze Emmons’s mid-career retrospective exhibition catalog. Ben conducted a studio visit with the artist this spring in Philadelphia. His essay, “Visible and Easily Moved: Process and Authority in the Work of Amze Emmons,” is joined in the catalog by an essay from Erin Fletcher, Director of the Ross Art Museum. The exhibition opens at its first venue, the Academy Art Museum, on August 2!
