World-renown artist William Harper gave a fascinating lecture on campus, on April 8, 2019, to a packed crowd. He explained some of the vast array of global sources that he uses for inspiration for his work, and discussed aspects of his working practice. Professor Henry Adams gave a scintillating introduction, and Professor Bolman made some laudatory closing remarks. Bill Harper’s exhibition, “The Beautiful and the Grotesque,” is truly extraordinary. It is on view at the Cleveland Institute of Art through June 14.
