Congratulations to PhD candidates Benjamin Levy and Jillian Kruse for their superb papers delivered as part of the 36th Congress of the Comité International d’Histoire de l’Art in Lyon, France!
Jillian presented her paper, “Printing Light: Impressionist Printmaking and the Daguerreotype Plate,” and Ben presented his paper, “Hiding in Plain Sight: Tracing the Photographic Halftone’s Material Aesthetic.” Both papers represent new research drawn from their respective dissertation projects.
