Graduate Association of Medieval Studies

The CWRU Graduate Association of Medieval Studies was established only last year, but it has quickly become an excellent place for bringing together medievalists from departments across the university. Led by graduate students in both the Departments of Art History & Art and Music, the group has already hosted five events this fall, with two more on the schedule for November and December. These events included a movie night, a close-looking session of medieval and nineteenth-century fragments, books, and prints at Kelvin Smith Library’s Special Collections, a tour of the medieval and Byzantine galleries at the Cleveland Museum of Art, a book club, and a reading circle. The group welcomes graduate students and undergraduate students alike, as well as any faculty and staff who would also like to join in. To join the GAMS newsletter and to stay up-to-date on events, you can email cwru.medievalgrad@gmail.com or follow the group on Instagram @cwru.medieval.
